Asian migrant dies in Bahrain fire

Cairo: A fire had broken out in a residential building outside the Bahraini capital Manama, leaving an Asian migrant dead, according to media reports.

The victim was 39 years old, Bahraini daily Al Bilad said.

Four fire trucks, manned by 16 personnel, rushed to the site in the area of Al Sahla and put out the blaze, it added.

The cause of the fire is being investigated.

Foreign workers make up around 48 per cent of Bahrain's population of 1.7 million.
