Dubai: After years of abuse and mistrust, a Jaipur woman, along with friends, murdered her husband on Saturday.

Investigators revealed that the trio used the internet and crime-based web series to plan the killing of e-rickshaw driver Manoj, according to NDTV.

The woman, Santosh Devi, befriended co-accused Rishi Srivastava at a bedsheet factory where they both worked.

Their relationship led to a conspiracy to kill Manoj, later joined by Rishi’s friend Mohit Sharma.

They researched methods to commit murder and avoid detection, using online resources and crime shows to refine their plan.

On Saturday, Mohit hired Manoj’s e-rickshaw to go to the ISKCON temple. Ten minutes into the ride, Rishi intercepted them and took Manoj to a deserted farmhouse, where his throat was slit with a bedsheet cutter.

The two men changed clothes, altered their appearances, and switched off their SIM cards.

With no CCTV at the scene, authorities pieced together the crime from nearby footage, eventually identifying the accused. The trio admitted that the murder plot had been in the works for about a month.
