Gurgaon: A teenage girl from West Bengal, who was rescued from traffickers last week, has been kidnapped from a shelter home here, police said on Sunday.

The 14-year-old girl from West Bengal’s Malda district was rescued earlier last week from Govind Dass, Ranjid and Mitali, aged between 25 and 30 years. The three were arrested from Vyapar Kendra in the Sushant Lok area here on Monday.

The trio was sent to jail while the girl was handed over to the warden of a shelter home here.

The girl went missing from Aasha Niwas Nari Niketan shelter home on Saturday.

“Pramila, the warden, did not inform the police about the minor missing from the home. Some informer told police about the incident,” police officer Tejpal said.

“Warden Pramila and persons unknown have been booked under sections of kidnapping and plotting the crime,” he said.

There were a total of seven girls in the shelter home and there were no CCTV surveillance cameras or security guards present.
