According to news reports, police officials said: “Keshavulu was upset over having twin daughters, and he decided to kill them. He bought some pesticide, and mixed it in their milk. After a few minutes, when the condition of the babies turned critical, they were taken to hospital.”

Reportedly, Krishnaveni and the couple’s relatives grew suspicious, and confronted the man, after which he confessed to having poisoned the babies.

Facebook user Malavika Sreekumar posted: “Don’t know why people like this man are allowed to have children, while loving childless couples are denied the chance to become parents.”
