In a statement issued after the arrest of the MP CID said, “through his speeches on regular basis Mr Raju was indulging in systematic, schematic effort to cause tension among communities by attacking various government dignitaries in a way which will cause loss of faith in the government which they represent”.

The MP was locked in a direct tussle with Jaganmohan Reddy for quite some time and was aggressively campaigning for cancellation of his bail alleging that Jaganmohan Reddy was violating the bail conditions.

Jaganmohan Reddy, who is facing trial in a CBI court in seven cases of massive corruption since 2012 and also spent several months in prison as an under trial is presently out on a bail.
