Kabul: The Zayed Hospital for Motherhood and Childhood was inaugurated on Monday in Kabul.
The hospital, funded and constructed by the Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation, has been equipped with all the necessary medical equipment to provide health and medical services to women and children.
Ahmad Nasser Al Khaja, Charge d’Affaires of the UAE to Afghanistan, attended the opening ceremony at the invitation of Ferozuddin Feroz, Afghanistan’s Minister of Public Health.
The opening ceremony was also attended by Dr Abdullah Abdullah, Chief Executive of Afghanistan, and other senior Afghan officials.
The Afghan officials praised the UAE’s role in supporting the government and peoples of Afghanistan through the various development and humanitarian projects.
