Woman escaped rape by jumping from vehicle, court told

Dubai : A 25-year-old Kenyan woman jumped off a moving vehicle and fled the scene to avoid being raped by a Pakistani man, court records reveal.

According to prosecution records, the suspect, K.N.K, approached the Kenyan woman late on January 30, and posing as a police officer, asked her to produce her identification card.

The man then attacked her, and grabbed her by the chest, threw her into his waiting van, before driving off.

The woman, however, managed to defend herself and hit her attacker who wanted to force her into having sex with him. She managed to open the sliding door of the moving vehicle and jumped off.

On Monday, charges were read out to the suspect at the Dubai Criminal Court.
