Beloved American burger joint makes flash appearance in Dubai, for just one day
Dubai: Wondering why Ibn Battuta Mall was crowded on Wednesday?
Well, one of the most popular American burger joints, In-N-Out, was back in Dubai for one day only.
The pop-up which ran from 10am to 4pm, saw people queuing outside the pop-up, more than two hours prior to the opening, some even showed up at around 6.30am.
Hundreds of people queued outside, waiting for their chance to try the California-based burger that is known for delivering fresh ingredients daily and avoids franchising locations, so that every restaurant is held to its standards.
However, netizens were surprised by the number of people that gathered. One post on TikTok read, “In-N-Out Burger pop up in Dubai at 10am on weekday. Do people not go to work anymore in our city?”
One vlogger on Instagram mentioned the “queue system has completely broken down, with no one managing it. Apparently they are handing out wristbands to allow 1 burger each.”
“We queued for about two hours and I’ve called it a day. Good luck to everyone still waiting,” he added in his caption, which was being updated throughout.
The burgers eventually ran out, and closed by 4pm.
