Dubai: After surprising rainfall swept through parts of Dubai and Al Ain yesterday, many residents are now asking: Will it rain again today?

The UAE is set to experience another sweltering summer day, with the National Center of Meteorology (NCM) forecasting fair to partly cloudy skies and soaring temperatures that could reach up to 49°C in inland areas.

The weather bureau also issued an advisory for possible convective cloud formation, particularly in eastern and southern parts of the country by afternoon, which could bring rainfall.

Coastal and island areas can expect highs between 40°C and 45°C, while mountainous regions will be slightly cooler with temperatures ranging from 33°C to 39°C.

Humidity is expected to rise by night and into Wednesday morning, especially in coastal areas, increasing the likelihood of fog or mist formation moving from the southeast to the northwest. Winds will be light to moderate at 10–25 km/h but may pick up to 40 km/h during the day, potentially causing blowing dust and reduced visibility.

Sea conditions will remain calm, with slight waves in both the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea.

Residents are urged to stay hydrated, avoid prolonged sun exposure during peak hours, and remain cautious while driving, particularly in areas where fog or dust may reduce visibility.
