Dubai: The weather in the UAE today continues to be marked by extreme heat and high humidity, a trend that has persisted over the last few days. The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) has warned residents to prepare for another scorching day, with temperatures expected to range from 45°C to 49°C in different areas.

In general, weather conditions are expected to be fair to partly cloudy at times, particularly with the development of some convective clouds forming in eastern areas by the afternoon. While there may be a slight and gradual decrease in temperatures throughout the day, it will still feel oppressively warm.

Temperature specifics are as follows:

- Coastal areas and islands: Anticipated temperatures will range from 40°C to a peak of 45°C.

- Internal regions: Expect soaring temperatures between 45°C and 49°C.

- Mountainous areas: Cooler temperatures will range from 35°C to 40°C.

The prevailing weather conditions are influenced by an extension of surface low pressure from the east, combined with a strong high-pressure system from the west and a ridge of upper-air high pressure.

As night approaches and into Thursday morning, humidity levels will rise significantly, creating the possibility of fog or mist formation in some northern areas. Light to moderate winds are expected, which may strengthen at times, potentially leading to blowing dust and sand, particularly in the western regions.

In terms of sea conditions, the Arabian Gulf is likely to be moderate, with a chance of becoming rougher in the west, while the Oman Sea remains slight throughout the day. Residents are urged to stay hydrated and exercise caution while outdoors during peak heat hours.
