UAE heat: Temperatures set to reach 47°C in internal regions
Dubai: Residents across the UAE can expect another hot day, with temperatures soaring, particularly in coastal and internal regions. The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) has forecasted generally fair weather; however, there will be partly cloudy conditions at times, especially in the eastern parts of the country.
The temperature forecast indicates that coastal areas and islands will experience temperatures ranging from 36°C to 42°C. In the internal regions, temperatures will be higher, reaching between 42°C and 47°C. Meanwhile, mountain areas are expected to have cooler temperatures, ranging from 32°C to 37°C.
As for humidity levels, coastal areas will have humidity ranging from 50 per cent to 70 per cent, while the internal regions will see lower humidity levels of 40 per cent to 60 per cent. In mountain regions, humidity is also anticipated to be between 50 per cent and 70 per cent. Stay hydrated and take necessary precautions if you are out in the heat.
Expect light to moderate winds throughout the day, which may intensify at times, leading to localized blowing dust, particularly in open areas. This weather pattern is influenced by an extension of surface low pressure originating from the East and a high-pressure system moving in from the West, along with a weak upper-air trough.
Sea Conditions: The Arabian Gulf will see moderate waves, which are expected to become rough by the evening, while the Oman Sea will experience moderate to rough conditions at times.
