Cloudy conditions and rain are expected to continue till Tuesday
Dubai: Scattered rain showers have been reported across several parts of the UAE, offering a welcome respite from the intense summer heat. The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) confirmed that early morning showers hit Khor Fakkan in Sharjah and Fujairah on Monday, August 4, with internal parts of Sharjah also receiving rainfall.
The NCM has issued yellow and orange alerts for convective (rainy) clouds in the eastern regions, with a forecast suggesting the possibility of more rain in Dubai, Al Ain, and other eastern areas. This follows yesterday's showers in Al Ain, which provided a much-needed cooldown for residents.
A video shared by the weather account @storm_ae captured the rainfall in Khorfakkan. The NCM's forecast for rain over the holiday weekend has been accurate, with expectations of fair to partly cloudy weather and a potential for more convective cloud formation in the eastern and northern regions.
According to AccuWeather, temperature forecasts for the region indicate highs of 49°C to 37°C along coastal and island areas, 45°C to 40°C in the internal regions, and 34°C to 39°C in the mountains.
Additionally, humidity levels are expected to rise during the night and into Tuesday morning over some coastal and internal areas, which may lead to fog or mist formation. Wind conditions are anticipated to be light to moderate, occasionally picking up in intensity. The sea will be slight to moderate at times in the Arabian Gulf and in Oman Sea.
