Dusty weather across UAE with rough seas expected in the Arabian Gulf
Dubai: Motorists driving the Ras Al Khaimah roads are urged to exercise heightened caution today. The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) has issued a warning regarding the anticipated presence of dense fog in various areas until 8am. Early morning observations reported fog enveloping critical locations, including Ras Al Khaimah International Airport, Al Jazeera, and Al Hamra, significantly impairing visibility.
Drivers are strongly advised to reduce their speed and remain vigilant while on the roads, as low visibility conditions pose potential hazards.
In addition to the fog, the weather is expected to be dusty and partly cloudy at times, with a gradual decline in temperatures throughout the day. The forecast indicates the following temperature ranges: coastal and island areas will experience highs between 39°C and 42°C, while the internal regions could soar to a sweltering 43°C to 47°C. The mountainous regions are anticipated to be cooler, ranging from 29°C to 36°C.
Winds will prevail from the northwest, reaching speeds of 15 to 30 km/h, and could intensify to moderate or fresh gusts, contributing to blowing dust and sand that may further reduce horizontal visibility. The sea conditions are likely to be rough in the Arabian Gulf, while the Oman Sea will be slightly to moderately agitated, making it important for mariners to exercise caution.
