Dubai: Dubai Municipality has said its teams are “on high alert for rapid response and resolution of weather-related reports and rainfall incidents.”

In a post on X on Tuesday evening, the civic body said it is “ready to manage rainwater pooling, improve drainage systems, and respond to urgent reports related to adverse weather.”

Residents are encouraged to report rain-related incidents through the Dubai Municipality App, via WhatsApp, or by calling the municipality’s toll-free call centre helpline at 800900.

The social media post by the municipality came as the UAE, including Dubai, experienced light rains on Monday.

The Met Office has reported light rain across various parts of the UAE early this morning as well, with showers observed in Falaj Hazza, Al Ain, Tawiyah in Fujairah, and the Hamim Al Dhafra region.

According to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM), the weather will remain partly cloudy throughout the day, with the chance of light rainfall, particularly in the northern regions.

Earlier on Tuesday, Dubai Police, the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) and the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) had taken to social media to issue a series of guidelines for residents to stay safe on the roads and protect their health during adverse weather conditions.
