The Met Office also forecasts temperatures to reach up to 49 degree Celsius this week

UAE weather: Rainfall reported over Sharjah, Khor Fakkan and more

Dubai: Rainfall was reported over parts of the UAE today, the Met Office announced.

According to the National Center of Meteorology (NCM), light to moderate rainfall was reported over Wadi Shees (Sharjah), Masafi (Fujairah), and over Khor Fakkan road towards Shees (Sharjah).

An orange and yellow alert was also issued by the NCM for convective clouds over Fujairah and Khor Fakkan this afternoon.

Earlier today, an alert was issued by the NCM that despite scorching heat, there will be isolated rainfall this until Friday, July 18 – especially over the eastern regions of the country.

According to a post shared by storm_centre on X (previously Twitter), moderate rainfall can be seen on Khor Fakkan Road.

The Met Office also forecast temperature highs today will be between 40 and 45°C, while the temperature inland is expected to reach up to 49°C.
