UAE weather: Rainfall reported over Ras Al Khaimah

The Met Office also forecasts convective clouds to continue until Saturday, July 19

Dubai: The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) reported rain over parts of Ras Al Khaimah this afternoon.

According to NCM, light rain was reported over Showkah and Kadrah in Ras Al Khaimah.

Additionally, an orange and yellow alert was issued for convective clouds over parts of the UAE, which are said to continue until 8pm tonight.

However, temperatures across the rest of the country continue to soar despite the rain. Temperature highs today are expected to be between 40 and 45 degree Celsius, while the lowest temperature recorded today was 26.6 degree Celsius in Jais Mountain, Ras AL Khaimah.

Residents across the UAE may also experience blowing dust as winds speeds will reach up to 40 km/hr.

Cloudy skies with a probability of convective clouds, especially eastward of the country, are forecast to continue until Saturday, July 19.
