UAE weather forecast: Rain, cooler temperatures expected this week

Expect humid nights, foggy mornings, and rough seas in the Arabian Gulf this week

Dubai experienced cloudy to partly cloudy skies this afternoon, with light rain recorded over Owtaid and the Al Dhafra region. Al Sout in Abu Dhabi also saw light to moderate rainfall during the afternoon hours. Earlier in the day, Bu Hasa, Madinat Zayed, and Yaw Al Nadhrah in the Al Dhafra region had light to moderate showers.

The weather took a cooler turn this morning, with the lowest temperature recorded at Jais Mountain in Ras Al Khaimah, dropping to a chilly 11.4°C at 1am.

Tuesday, February 18: Expect cloudy weather with chances of light rain over coastal, northern, and western regions. Temperatures will remain relatively cool, with a high probability of humidity overnight and fog or mist formation on Wednesday morning in some inland areas. Winds will be light to moderate, blowing from the Northeasterly to Northwesterly direction, with speeds reaching 40 km/h over the sea. The sea conditions will range from moderate to rough in the Arabian Gulf and slight to moderate in the Oman Sea.

Wednesday, February 19: The weather will be fair to partly cloudy with a further decrease in temperatures. Humidity levels will rise again by night, with a chance of mist or fog in some areas. Winds will remain light to moderate, reaching speeds of up to 35 km/h at times. The sea conditions will be rough in the Arabian Gulf, calming by afternoon, and moderate to slight in the Oman Sea.

Thursday, February 20: A fair to partly cloudy day ahead, with continued humidity at night and into Friday morning. Winds will be light to moderate, blowing from the Northeasterly to Southeasterly directions, at speeds reaching 30 km/h. Sea conditions will remain relatively calm, with slight waves in both the Arabian Gulf and Oman Sea.

Friday, February 21: Wrapping up the week, the weather continues to be fair with partly cloudy skies over coastal and northern regions. A familiar theme of rising humidity will take over as night falls, with the chance of mist forming into the early hours of Saturday. Winds will stay light to moderate, reaching speeds of up to 30 km/h, and the sea remains calm in both the Arabian Gulf and Oman Sea. It's the perfect time to wind down the week with a stroll by the water or a night under the stars.
