Decrease in temperatures, the NCM issues yellow alert for rough seas

Dubai: After overcast skies were reported in the coastal regions of the country, moderate to heavy rain fell in parts of Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Sharjah. According to the National Center of Meteorology, light rain was recorded in Jebel Ali and the Palm Islands in Dubai. The weather remains cloudy and overcast across the country.
Instagram account @storm_ae, which posts weather updates from the UAE also shared videos of moderate to heavy rain in Dubai.
Also, residents can look forward to a pleasant day ahead, as the National Center of Meteorology (NCM) reported early morning rain in Abu Dhabi. Cooler temperatures and pleasant weather are expected across the Emirates.
In the early hours of the morning, light to moderate rain fell over Dalma Island and Ras Ghumais, with reports indicating the rainfall began around 3 am. Just an hour earlier, around 2am, Al Ghuwaifat in the Al Dhafra region also experienced a similar weather pattern. By 6:50am, light rain was observed along Emirates Road in Sharjah.
According to the National Center of Meteorology (NCM), it will be cloudy during the day. Low clouds will appear with a chance of some rain-bearing clouds forming by afternoon.
Today's skies will be partly cloudy, with light rain possibly occurring in the northern part of the country, according to NCM.
There is also a significant drop in temperatures across Abu Dhabi.
The maximum temperature in the country is expected to be between 23 to 27°C, and the lowest temperature is expected to be between 7 to 12°C.
In coastal areas, temperature highs will be between 22 to 26°C and 14 to 19°C in the mountainous regions.
The NCM also said that relative humidity is expected to increase by night and Tuesday morning, causing fog and mist formation in some internal and coastal areas.
In its daily weather update, the NCM added that moderate southeasterly to northeasterly winds at the speed of 10 to 25, reaching 35km/h at times, will blow dust across the country.
The sea will be moderate, becoming rough gradually by afternoon in the Arabian Gulf and slight in Oman Sea.
