The UAE is enduring another day of summer heat, with the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) reporting fair to partly cloudy skies and little relief from soaring temperatures. NCM forecast shows Dubai's daily high will climb to 40°Cs, while Abu Dhabi, is on track for a blistering 41°C.

According to NCM officials, winds will remain light to moderate throughout the day, with occasional gusts reaching up to 35 km/h. That's not much help against a heat index that feels far hotter than the thermometer reads. Humidity will be high at 70%.

The lowest temperature in the country was recorded in Raknah, Al Ain, at 23.2°C early this morning, at 5:00 a.m. local time.

Maritime conditions, meanwhile, are expected to be calm. Both the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea will see slight waves, a welcome piece of news for boaters and those looking for a way to beat the heat on the water. Authorities continue to stress the importance of staying hydrated and taking proper precautions against the heat.
