Dubai: The UAE continues to sizzle under intense summer heat, with the National Center of Meteorology (NCM) forecasting fair weather today — but with dangerously high temperatures across the country.

According to the NCM, maximum temperatures are expected to soar between 44°C and 48°C in the internal regions. Coastal areas and islands are forecast to experience highs of 40°C to 45°C, while mountainous regions will see slightly cooler temperatures ranging from 35°C to 40°C.

The hottest spot in the UAE yesterday was Sweihan in Al Ain, where the temperature peaked at a scorching 49.1°C at 12.30 PM, marking one of the hottest days recorded so far this year.

Winds will remain light to moderate, providing little relief from the heat. The sea conditions are expected to be slight in both the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea, offering calmer waters for marine activities, though caution is still advised due to high temperatures.

Authorities are urging residents to stay hydrated, avoid direct sun exposure during peak hours, and take necessary precautions to prevent heat-related illnesses.
