Dubai: The National Center of Meteorology has issued a detailed forecast for today, warning residents across the UAE to brace for extreme summer heat and shifting weather patterns.

Daytime conditions will be fair to partly cloudy, with low clouds gathering along the eastern coast. A notable dip in temperatures is expected along the western and coastal regions, but the interior of the country will remain scorching, with maximum temperatures soaring between 43°C and 47°C.

Coastal areas and islands will experience highs ranging from 37°C to 41°C, while mountainous regions will see slightly cooler but still hot conditions of 34°C to 38°C.

Humidity is expected to rise overnight and into Thursday morning, increasing the likelihood of fog or mist formation in some coastal and internal areas — a potential concern for early commuters.

Winds will be light to moderate, strengthening in western areas. Gusts reaching up to 40 km/h may kick up blowing dust and sand, reducing visibility in areas stretching from the Southeast to the Northwest.

Mariners are advised to exercise caution, with the Arabian Gulf becoming rough westward later in the day, while conditions in the Oman Sea will remain slight to moderate.

The public is urged to stay hydrated, limit outdoor activities during peak heat, and follow traffic advisories where fog or reduced visibility is expected.
