Motorists warned of slippery roads as rain hits key areas in Abu Dhabi and Dubai

Dubai: If you're stepping outside today, don't forget your umbrella! Rain showers are gracing parts of Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Al Dhafra, as the National Center of Meteorology (NCM) reports light rain in several areas. This morning, Expo in Dubai experienced a brief downpour, while light to moderate rainfall also swept over the northern parts of Hamim, Tarif, Habshan, Liwa, Madinat Zayed, and Al Dhafra. Abu Dhabi’s Khalifa City and Al Bateen Airport saw some light rain as well.
Motorists are urged to exercise caution on the roads as the wet conditions could make for slippery surfaces.
Looking ahead, expect partly cloudy skies throughout the day with the possibility of rain in certain areas. Temperatures are set to dip slightly, with highs ranging from 31°C to 36°C inland, and between 28°C and 32°C along coastal regions and islands. The mountains will experience cooler temperatures, between 25°C and 29°C.
As night falls and into Tuesday morning, the weather will turn humid, with the chance of mist forming along some coastal areas. Winds will be light to moderate, picking up at times, while the sea will remain slight to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and calm in the Oman Sea.
Stay prepared and stay safe – whether it’s an umbrella, a jacket, or just a bit of extra caution on the roads!
