The Met Office forecasts rainfall to continue eastward and northward of UAE
Dubai: Red and yellow fog alerts were issued across Dubai and Abu Dhabi this morning.
According to the National Center of Meteorology (NCM), patches of fog were reported over Al Fayah Road and Arjan, in Abu Dhabi this morning.
The alert by NCM states there will be a deterioration in horizontal visibility due to the fog until 8am, today.
The weather condition today will be clear to partly cloudy, according to the NCM, with a chance of some convective cloud formation eastward and northward of the country. These clouds may be associated with rainfall, the forecast states.
Humid weather conditions can also be expected tonight and Monday, June 9, morning, with a probability of fog or mist formation over some coastal and internal areas.
Temperature highs will be between 37 and 41 degree Celsius, while temperature lows will be between 24c and 29 degree Celsius.
Light to moderate winds with speeds reaching up to 35 km/hr can be expected over coastal and islands, and internal areas. Wind speeds in the mountain region, however, will reach up to 40 km/hr.
