Al Ain: Temperature is expected fall gradually in the next few days after an initial rise to 34 degrees Celsius in some areas in the UAE on Sunday as conditions will become windy over the emirates.

Rough seas and waves as high as eight feet are expected, with a warning being issued to fishermen and people planning sailing out to sea on small boats.

Northwesterly winds are expected to kick up dust and sand in open areas.

Visibility will be affected, with chances of fog and mist expected in some parts over the next couple of days.

On Sunday, temperatures reached 34 degrees Celsius in areas south of the country.

It was cloudy in parts of the northern emirates, with the chances of light rain. Fair to partly cloudy conditions are expected across the rest of the emirates for the next 48 hours, according to the National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology.

Forecasters say a gradual fall of day temperature is expected and relative humidity is likely to increase overnight and early Monday morning over the coastal and internal areas.

The conditions will remain the same through Tuesday, with another slight drop in temperature.
