Dubai: Weather forecasters have predicted generally fair weather for Saturday, the last day of the Eid holiday, before work resumes for many on Sunday.

It will be mostly sunny on Saturday but residents can look forward to pleasant weather with temperatures easing off from the week before as the mercury starts to drop below the 40-degree celsius mark. Expected temperatures throughout the UAE will be between 30-36 celcius, with the north-eastern parts getting the more favourable conditions.

The north-eastern part of the UAE, mainly Khor Fakkan, will be “sunny but nice” as it will be less humid. The mercury will be at 34C but will feel like 38C due to a bit of humidity. The rest of Fujairah will be between 28C and 36C. Some clouds will appear over the eastern mountains by afternoon.

Light to moderate winds are expected in general while relative humidity will increase during night and early morning, especially in the western parts of the country on the outskirts of Abu Dhabi.

Residents can still enjoy a day on the beach as conditions in the Arabian Gulf and Oman Sea will remain light to moderate.
