NCM warns of poor visibility due to fog

Abu Dhabi: The National Centre of Meteorology (NMC) has urged motorists to exercise caution due to the possibility of fog formations from 10pm Monday until 9:30am Tuesday.

The Centre said that visibility is predicted to be less than 500 metres at times over some inland and coastal areas.

Fog was seen over Abu Dhabi and Sharjah International Airports as well as Al Bateen Airport in Abu Dhabi at 5am Tuesday.

Thick fog on Monday delayed more than 120 inbound flights at the major airports in UAE.

A spokesperson at the NCM told Gulf News: "On Monday and Tuesday, the weather will be humid overnight and during early morning with fog formation across much areas of the country. Skies will become partly cloudy and hazy during Tuesday."
