Dubai: Fog blanketed parts of the UAE on Thursday as night-time mist coming in from the west brought down visibility.

In certain areas, visibility went down to about 100 metres in the early morning, Thursday.

Weathermen predict a sunny Thursday with a few clouds -- though there's a 25 per cent chance of rain in certain areas, such as the Northern Emirates.

Weathermen from the National Centre for Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS) said fog comes in from the west, in the general direction of the Empty Quarter, adding that the relative night-time and early-morning humidity increases over some coastal and internal areas.

The wind is predicted to blow north-westerly to south-easterly tonight. There's also a chance of another foggy early morning on Friday, said the NCMS.
