Humidity will remain high with clouds likely in the east and some parts of south

Abu Dhabi: UAE residents looking for a respite from the summer heat are in for a disappointment after meteorologists said there is no immediate expectation of the heat abating.
Temperatures are expected to stay between 44 and 48 degrees Celsius in the interior towns and cities and between 38 and 45 degrees Celsius on the coast Monday and for the next few days.
"The temperature is normal for this time of the year," an Abu Dhabi based meteorologist told Gulf News.
Clouds are likely to develop in the east of the country and in some parts of the south. In general, though, the UAE will experience low pressure and easterly winds, causing high humidity.
"The humidity will generally range between 65 and 95 per cent on the coast and will remain between 55 and 85 inland," a statement by the National Centre of Meteorology and Seismoligy said Sunday. The cloud build-up will be associated with dust, resulting in poor visibility around Al Ain, it added.
Low pressure
The Gulf is under the effect of the Indian monsoon's low pressure according to meteorologists.
"Motorists are advised to drive carefully and reduce speed as dust storms are common at this time of the year," said a spokesman for Abu Dhabi Police.
The good news is for beach-goers who do not have to fear the waves, as the sea is expected to remain calm to moderate.
"The only precaution beach-goers must take if they want to enjoy the sun is to apply proper sunscreen oils or creams before they go outside. They also need to avoid swimming between noon and 4pm to protect their skin from ultraviolet rays," said Dr. Mohammad Sabet of the Emirates Hospital in Dubai.
