The weather bureau predicts cloudy skies, potential rain, windy conditions this weekend

Dubai: In the early hours of Friday, parts of Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and Ras Al Khaimah were shrouded in dense fog, with video footage shared by storm.ae on Instagram showing the eerie fog engulfing the mountain areas.
This natural spectacle coincided with the coldest temperature recorded across the country this morning—just 5.4°C at 0:30am in Jais Mountain, Ras Al Khaimah.
The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) has forecast cloudy conditions to persist over parts of the UAE’s coastal and northern areas, with a chance of light rainfall expected by tonight.
Looking ahead, the NCM has issued a weather forecast for the weekend, predicting partly cloudy to cloudy conditions across the islands, coastal areas, and some northern and eastern regions, with a chance of rain.
The weather will be humid at night and early Sunday morning, particularly in inland areas, where mist formation is possible. Winds will be light to moderate from the North-West, occasionally freshening up and causing blowing dust with speeds ranging from 10 to 30 km/hr, potentially reaching 40 km/hr. The Arabian Gulf is expected to remain rough, while the Oman Sea will experience moderate to rough conditions.
