Dubai: The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) has issued a yellow alert for fog, warning of reduced horizontal visibility across some internal and coastal areas until 8am on Thursday. Motorists are advised to exercise caution due to potential deterioration in visibility, which may worsen at times.

Thursday’s weather is expected to be fair to partly cloudy, with low clouds appearing along the eastern coast, according to the NCM.

Scorching temperatures will dominate the day, with highs reaching:

  • 43 to 47°C in inland areas

  • 37 to 41°C along the coast and islands

  • 34 to 38°C in mountainous regions

Conditions will become humid overnight and into Friday morning, increasing the risk of fog or mist, particularly in northern coastal and internal regions.

Light to moderate winds are forecast, occasionally freshening and kicking up dust and sand, especially in western areas. Sea conditions will range from moderate to rough in the Arabian Gulf and slight to moderate in the Oman Sea.
