Dubai: Residents across parts of the country can expect rainfall today, according to the Met Office.

According to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM), fair to partly cloudy skies can be expected at times, with a chance of some convective cloud formation Eastward and Southward of the country. These convective clouds are also associated with rainfall.

The NCM also issued a yellow fog alert over some western parts of the country, including Sila. The alert states there will be a deterioration in horizontal visibility, which may drop even further at times today. These foggy skies are forecast to continue until 8.30am today, July 27.

Temperatures in the country continue to soar as highs are expected to be between 42 and 47 degree Celsius today, and temperature lows are forecast to be between 29 and 33 degree Celsius.

Motorists across the country are advised to be cautious as winds speeds are forecast to reach up to 50 km/hr in the internal regions, which can cause blowing dust and sand, reducing the horizontal visibility.

Residents are also advised to avoid staying outdoors for extended periods of time on Monday, July 28 as it can cause dangerous levels of dehydrations and heatstroke.

According to the NCM forecast, similar weather conditions are forecast to continue until Monday, July 28.
