Dubai: If you want to do some good deeds this Ramadan and also looking for something adventurous to do, residents will have the opportunity to zip line across the Dubai Marina at night.

With two zip lines running concurrently, XLine can accommodate up to 16 people per hour with individuals able to take the leap - or zip - with a friend, family member or colleague.

However, there are strict rules as participants must be between 12 and 65 years old, while riders under 18 must be accompanied by a legal guardian.

Zip liners must be a minimum height of 130cm, weigh 50-100kg, and also be in a good medical condition.

Residents can travel 170 metres high in the air at a speed of 80km/h, and organisers have said that the Dh850 price tag will go 100 per cent to the Al Jalila Foundation.

Zip lining has become a popular global trend in the last few years, and some of the best hotspots to zip line include the Arenal Volcano in Costa Rica, the Eiffel Tower in France and the Icy Strait Point in Alaska.

"XDubai is grateful for the support of both the community and the leadership of the UAE for their continued support of our activities and initiatives. During the Holy Month, and in particular during the Year of Zayed, we wanted to express this gratitude in a way that will have a lasting and meaningful effect on the community," said Mohammad Javad, general manager of XDubai.

"Every day we bring joy and laughter to those who visit our parks or experience the XLine. Now, by offering a new special night-time experience on the XLine during Ramadan, we are transforming the joyful moments we are known for into actual donations which in turn, will support the Al Jalila Foundation in their important work," said Javad.
