About 150 runners took part in the second annual Reebok-sponsored Street run, at the Jumeirah Beach Hotel. The event was also sponsored by Dubai Road runners.

Fifty-one runners took part in the two-km race for juniors under-13. Nicola Blincow was first girl home in a time of 9:23, followed by Laura Gordon in 10:02. The boys event was won by Nicola's brother Alaister Blincow in a time of 8:36 with Matthew Rivers second in a time of 8:43.

The youngest runner to complete the course was Joshua Green aged four.

Zain de Belder won the three-km race in a time of 11:40, 20 seconds ahead of Yohaan Thommy. Steph Bramwell was first girl home in 14:02, just ahead of Hilde Pedersen.

In the open race over five-km, Duncan Waide of Abu Dhabi Striders and Nikky Harradine of Dubai Road Runners were victors. Duncans time of 17:05 was excellent in the very hot conditions with second-placed Ed Hall nearly half a minute behind. Venche Pedesen of Norway was second female home.

Prizes were also awarded for age group categories which gave an opportunity for runners of all ages to feature in the prizes. In the 45+ category lan Gordon finished 1"ahead of James McGreggor reversing last years result.

Also running very well were Dion McFadzean and Steve Grigg who won their respective categories.

In the women's age group categories, Carol Diggle, Jane Beere, Angela Griffith and Leane Fielder were all victors.
