Located at the Sharjah Art Foundation, it merges technology and sensory artistry
At Sharjah’s Rain Room, visitors walk through a rain-like downpour — without getting wet. Motion sensors detect movement and pause the falling water where people stand or walk, creating a surreal and immersive experience. You can stretch out your arms or take a selfie, as long as you move slowly.
The effect surrounds you with rain on all sides, yet leaves you dry. Located beside Al Majarrah Park, the installation is a permanent feature by Sharjah Art Foundation. Created by Random International, the Rain Room has previously mesmerized audiences in cities like London, New York, and Shanghai before debuting in the Middle East.
