Sharjah: In a move aimed at building stronger connections with the community, Sharjah Police has launched its new community patrols.
The new initiative, led by Major General Abdullah Mubarak Bin Amer, Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police, focuses on improving how patrols operate to better meet the needs of the public, increase their presence on the ground, and promote a culture of community safety and prevention.

The launch event was attended by several senior officers, including Brigadier General Dr Ahmed Saeed Al Naour, Director General of Community Protection, Brigadier General Dr Ali Ahmed Abu Al Zoud, Director General of Resources and Support Services, Brigadier Ahmed Mohammed Al Marri, Director of the Community Protection and Prevention Department and other key police leaders.

Better communication will improve safety and trust

Major General Bin Amer noted that this step is part of Sharjah Police’s continuous efforts to boost public safety through a strong and active presence in neighbourhoods and residential areas.

The new patrols aim to make it easier for people to report incidents, provide feedback, and receive quicker, more flexible police responses helping to create a stronger sense of safety and trust across the community.

Initiative aims to strengthen police-public partnerships

Major General Bin Amer said that the newly designed patrols will play an important role in building stronger partnerships between the police and the public. The patrols are designed to be more approachable and responsive, encouraging open communication and shared responsibility for community well-being.

This move is part of a larger strategy to improve quality of life, strengthen security, and promote a stable and safe environment reflecting Sharjah Police’s vision of creating an aware and connected society built on long-lasting partnerships.
