Abu Dhabi: No one was injured in a fire that broke out on a yacht in Abu Dhabi Marina on Tuesday, Abu Dhabi Civil Defence have confirmed.

Lieutenant Colonel Ibrahim Jalal Al Balushi, from Abu Dhabi Civil Defence said that firefighters quickly brought the incident under control and no one was harmed.

Authorities are investigating the cause of the fire and called on yacht owners to adhere to safety standards issued in Civil Defence guidelines. Specialist police teams are now working to reinforce this with individuals and institutions, it was added.
