University releases magazine
The Zayed University has issued a new magazine to mark the graduation of its first batch here.
Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, President's Wife and Chairwoman of the General Women's Union (GWU), congratulated the graduates, reminding them that there is still a long way to go and they should not forget for a moment their duty towards their country and society.
"Now each of you is qualified to serve our beloved country and the UAE loyal people in response to President His Highness Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan's call for all people to work hard and persistently to keep the pace of development and progress," Sheikha Fatima wrote in the editorial of the first issue of Zayed Daughters magazine.
The magazine, she said, is being issued as a real contribution by future media women cadres to the world of press as an outcome of our strategy in preparing women cadres in all means of media.
Regarding the magazine, she said, they would adopt women's issues, reflect her real image and leading role in serving the country and her constructive contribution to sustainable development by utilising the great support extended by the president.
On the occasion, she said: "It is another evening full of great hopes, expectations and joy. History is making a new page in the name of Zayed's new generations.
"While I congratulate the students I would take this opportunity to convey my best greetings and regards to our father, the leader who gives meaning to our life and who was behind the achievements made by women.
"As life continues our dreams will come true. I still remember four years ago when the planning of this university began and when efforts and hard work resulted in the birth of this outstanding feature which is named after the greatest man of all times in our country," she recalled.
