The UAE's largest Internet cafe has opened its doors to the public in Dubai.

Citi Dot Com, located in the Atrium Centre on Bank Street, has 60 flat-screen terminals linked to the Internet through a 356k lease line - the fastest available from Etisalat.

It also provides telephones with each terminal for surfers to make calls whenever they choose. Operations manager Mick Torcato said the use of flat screens would be of benefit to customers. "We are the only Internet Cafe using liquid crystal display flat panels," he said. "This means absolutely no radiation, whereas normal screens give off varying degrees of radiation."

The cafe is open from 10 to 4am and is charging Dh8 an hour to use the Internet during Ramadan.
