New York: The UAE has called on the international community to pressurise Israel to cease and remove all procedures of ongoing Judaisation of occupied eastern Jerusalem intended to change its landmark.
It said the procedures contravene the Road Map Principles, International Law, the Geneva Fourth Agreement and a number of legitimate international resolutions in this respect.
The remarks were made in a statement delivered Anwar Othman Barot, deputy permanent representative of the UAE in the United Nations in a recent meeting held here by the United Nations Security Council (UNSC).
"The periodic media reports of the secretariat to the UNSC have been showing incessant Israeli violations on the Palestinian territories since 1967", he said. Barot added that Israel seeks to coerce a greater number of Palestinians to leave the city in order to continue its Judaisation process. He cited stripping credentials of thousands of Palestinians in the city."
