LuLu launches new offers alongside uniform and textbook recycling drives
Abu Dhabi: LuLu Hypermarket, the Abu Dhabi- headquartered major retail chain, is offering scholarships worth Dh100,000 as part of its ‘Back to School’ campaign.
As schools across the country prepare to reopen, the campaign features offers and diverse product choices – from stationery, notebooks, bags, to smart gadgets, laptops, and digital learning tools. Parents can enjoy bundle offers, combo deals, and discounts.
“This year, we’ve expanded our product range to reflect the changing needs of students, from early learners to university-goers. Our buyers have sourced high-quality, educational tools from around the world, and paired them with exciting value deals in every category,” said Mujeeb Rehman, Director of Buying, Lulu Group International.
A key highlight of this year’s campaign is the scholarship drive, offering 10 scholarships worth Dh10,000 each, totalling Dh100,000. The campaign runs till September 7 and is eligible for residents aged 18 and above.
“It is aimed at rewarding students and easing the financial burden for families,” LuLu said in a statement.
Shoppers who spend Dh100 or more on school-related products, in-store or online, will be eligible for a raffle coupon. Winners also stand a chance to win 10 Samsung tablets, 10 JBL earphones, and 10 study tables. All raffle participants will be enrolled in Lulu’s ‘Happiness Membership’ loyalty programme.
As part of Lulu’s CSR initiatives, the retailer has launched eco-conscious efforts:
School uniform recycling programme: Customers can donate gently used uniforms at dedicated kiosks, which are then recycled and redistributed.
Textbook take-back points: Used textbooks collected at Lulu stores will be donated to underprivileged students, promoting sustainability and education.
The UAE Ministry of Education has approved 53 outlets for uniform distribution, including 48 Lulu Hypermarket branches across the country and additional school locations in Al Dhafra, Al Ain, and Dalma Island.
