Abu Dhabi: Employers in the UAE seeking to recruit workers from abroad can now apply for new work permits through an upgraded digital service launched by the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE).
The streamlined process is available on the ministry’s official website as well as its mobile application, offering a faster and more user-friendly experience.
To initiate a work permit request for a foreign worker, employers must follow a few simple steps through the digital platforms.
To complete the application, employers must follow these steps:
Select service package (Job offer + employment contract + initial approval for work permit-first visit).
Choose the required notification type based on the type of quota available.
If the application is already submitted through business service centres, e-signature verification is required. If it is submitted through the smart app, this step is not required.
Documents are verified using AI tools and mechanisms.
Fill in the required additional information such as salary, address, working hours, etc.
If applying through business service centres, the applicant’s data is verified via the ID card reader. If applying through the smart app, this step is not required.
Upload the required attachments.
Review the application details before submission.
Proceed to the payment page. Once payment is completed, the application is officially submitted.
