Sharjah: Sharjah Police announced on Tuesday night a ban on all celebrations and fireworks on New Year’s Eve (December 31), in solidarity with Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.

In a post on their X account, the police appealed to all institutions and individuals to cooperate with authorities and commit to the ban, pointing out that it will take legal measures against those who violate the instructions.

The police stressed that human solidarity is a well-established culture followed by the emirate of Sharjah.

Before Tuesday night’s announcement by the police, it had previously been stated that there would be three locations for New Year’s Eve fireworks in the emirate of Sharjah.
