UAE Armed Forces scale dizzy heights

The UAE Armed Forces have made qualitative leaps over the last few years, thanks to the continuous support of President His Highness Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.

"President His Highness Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, who is also the supreme commander of the UAE Armed Forces, has availed every opportunity to add resources for the UAE Army and modernise it in the areas of armament, training and keeping abreast the latest military technology," said Brigadier Saeed Mohammed Khalef Al Rumaithy, Commander of the Infantry Forces.

Al Rumaithy's remarks were made during a celebration here organised by the UAE Armed Forces to mark the Unification Day of the Mechanised UAE Battalion.

He said the Unification Day was a turning point in the history of Mechanised Battalion, which has so far made quite a number of achievements in terms of training national cadres and boosting their combat capabilities.

Al Rumaithy hailed the cooperation between the UAE Armed Forces and other GCC Armies on issues of common interests.
