Amman: Mohammad Al Qudah, Jordanian Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, described relations with the UAE as strong in all areas, thanks to the support extended by President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Jordan’s King Abdullah II.

The Jordanian minister affirmed that the two countries maintain solid economic and cultural relations.

Al Qudah made his remarks as he met on Thursday a delegation from the Al Maktoum Foundation led by Mirza Al Sayegh, member of the Board of Trustees, who is in Jordan to inspect humanitarian operations run by the foundation.

He described the leadership and the people of the UAE as benefactors and charitable, adding that the UAE always provide Jordan with assistance which picks up before and during the month of Ramadan in particular.

For his part, Al Sayegh hailed the outcome of the meeting with the Jordanian minister. He said cooperation between the foundation and the ministry on training imams of mosques and preachers was discussed at the meeting.
