Two-week deadline to remove Ramadan tents

Dubai Municipality issues ultimatum to households and establishments

Dubai: Houseowners, shopkeepers and others who put up tents during Ramadan have been asked to remove them within two weeks by the Dubai Municipality. Jabir Ahmad Al Ali, Head of Building Inspection Section at the Civic body, said: “All these tents are supposed to be removed just after Ramadan. But we have noticed some of them are still existing with use or without use as the owners being unaware that this is against rules in Dubai.”

“We give them maximum two weeks to remove tents. After that DM will carry out forcible evictions. For that patrolling has been already started” he added.
