Two UAE ERF vets for SA rides
Two senior veterinarians from the UAE Equestrian and Racing Federation (UAE ERF) have been invited by the South African National Equestrian Federation to assist them in two endurance rides scheduled for this weekend.
Dr. Surendra Babu, Veterinary Officer and Dr. James Bryant, Advisor, Veterinary/endurance and International Consultant to the UAE ERF's Secretary General, will be visiting Dulls-troom, which is situated about 250km east of Johannesburg, to oversee the two FEI rides which will be held on April 12.
The day will feature a 160-km three-star ride, and a 130-km two-star ride. These rides will be the first qualifiers for the World Championships to be held in the UAE next year. The day will also feature a 80-km national ride.
Dr. Bryant and Dr. Babu will be assisting the judges and the technical delegates during the rides and they will also be accompanied by Ahmed Al Hammadi, a member of the ground jury in the UAE, who works for the Abu Dhabi Mounted Police.
According to Hussein Mohammed Hussein, Secretary General of the UAE Federation, this is yet another instance of the Federation's dedication to endu-rance and see its improvement around the world.
