The word Twinge is a play on words between Twitter (symbolising social media) and Fringe (reference to the popular arts festivals around the world).

The Twinge festival highlights the talent we have in this country, it is a festival which incorporates the whole community and encourages involvement from everyone from all spheres and backgrounds."

Community support

Sherif Abaza, Managing Partner of Sphere Events and founder of the Twinge festivals believes that the support of the community is essential to the success of the festival. He said that putting together a string of events, like this, is challenging.
