Tristar Group is partnering with Gulf News and BeingShe to present the second edition of The Future Women Leaders Forum 2025 on March 8, marking International Women’s Day.

The Dubai-based fully integrated global energy logistics company has long supported women’s advancement in the workplace and leadership roles, making its involvement in the forum a natural fit.

“We have a long history of championing equity and inclusion initiatives for girls and women in local communities wherever we operate, with focus areas like education, training and skilling. In a corporate context, our female members of staff have access to leadership development and professional growth opportunities through formal training programs, leadership workshops, and executive coaching,” says Eugene Mayne, Founder and CEO of Tristar Group.

Tristar Group was one of the first to embrace the UAE Gender Balance Strategy 2026 and the UN Sustainable Development Goals 2030, and the company continues to incorporate and support these initiatives both within and beyond its area of influence.

“For the last three years, we have also commemorated International Women’s Day through domestic and international platforms to advocate for women’s leadership,” adds Mayne.

When: March 8, 3-7pm; Where: InterContinental Dubai Festival City

Key highlights of the event

The forum, themed ‘Accelerating the push for equality’, will focus on how women are reshaping industries, driving progress, and integrating inclusivity and sustainability into leadership. The event is organised by Gulf News in association with BeingShe, a UAE-based women’s organisation focused on advancing women’s empowerment.

The Future Women Leaders Forum 2025 is a dynamic platform designed to foster knowledge sharing, mentorship, and collaboration. Through the efforts of BeingShe, we are connecting aspiring women leaders with industry trailblazers, empowering them with insights and opportunities for both personal and professional growth. Together, we are shaping a future where women thrive as innovators, changemakers, and pioneers,” says Aparna Bajpai, Founder of BeingShe.

The UAE ranks among the top countries globally in gender equality. It was the first among Arab nations in the World Economic Forum’s Global Gender Gap Report 2023 and seventh worldwide in the UNDP Gender Inequality Index 2024. The World Bank scored the UAE 82.5 out of 100 on women’s rights in 2023, well above the regional average of 53.2.

Both public and private sectors are expanding efforts to advance gender balance in leadership. Tristar’s role in the forum reflects the broader push for women’s leadership and participation across industries.

“Achieving gender parity and advancing women’s empowerment needs constant, continuous and collective efforts – as it rightfully should. We see the Future Women Leaders Forum as an opportunity to celebrate the achievements of successful women, encourage greater equality in workplaces, and ignite societal action,” says Mayne.

The forum – taking place at Intercontinental Dubai Festival City – will feature panel discussions, fireside chats, and networking opportunities with inspirational women leaders from various sectors.

“The Future Women Leaders Forum 2025 is not just a gathering; it is a powerful catalyst for change, bringing together diverse voices to shape a future where women lead with confidence, influence, and purpose. Together, we are creating a world where women’s leadership is celebrated and their potential is limitless,” says Tina Bhakthavalsalan, Head of Commercial Partnerships & Events at Gulf News.

Speakers will discuss key issues such as the unique challenges women CEOs face in today's business world, strategies for fostering innovation and building resilient teams, the importance of mental wellness, the transformative role of women entrepreneurs in the UAE, and the power of female leadership in driving meaningful change.
