Abu Dhabi – From Friday asphalt maintenance work will be undertaken on a particular stretch of Al Falah Street in the capital, the Municipality of Abu Dhabi City announced in a statement sent today (Wednesday).

The maintenance, which is being carried out to improve traffic flow and ensure road safety, will be carried out between the Falah Street junctions with Rashid Bin Saeed Al Maktoum Street (Airport Road) and Eastern Street. It will be completed by Sunday morning, the statement announced.

Traffic diversions will be set up on Al Falah Street to close two lanes of traffic at a time on each side of the road to facilitate the maintenance work. Over the weekend, the road’s asphalt layer will be replaced, and it will be re-paved. In addition, maintenance work to other surrounding street equipment and assets will also be carried out

The municipality, in collaboration with the Traffic and Patrols Directorate at the Abu Dhabi Police, called upon motorists to be cautious on the roads, and adhere to the specified speed limits at all times. They also urged drivers to follow the road regulations and traffic signals to ensure their own safety and that of other road users.
