The Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has alerted residents to road closures and traffic disruptions during the T100 Triathlon World Championship on Saturday, November 15, and Sunday, November 16.

In addition, Salik toll rates will be adjusted on Sunday, with Dh6 charged during morning peak hours (6am–10am), instead of the usual Dh4 on Sundays.

Motorists are advised to plan their journeys in advance, follow traffic signs, and allow extra travel time to ensure smooth movement across the city during the event.

T100 Triathlon returns to Dubai

The Dubai T100 Triathlon is back this year, taking place from November 13 to 16, and will challenge participants across swimming, cycling, and running stages. The route passes some of Dubai’s iconic landmarks, including the Burj Khalifa.

Expect delays on these roads:

The RTA has shared the list of roads affected by the triathlon, urging commuters to check alternate routes and expect delays. Residents are reminded that following posted traffic signs is crucial for a safe and smooth journey during the event.

  • Sat, 15 Nov: Al Athar St – Al Hadiqa Rd – Al Meydan Rd

  • Sun, 16 Nov: Al Athar St – Al Hadiqa Rd – Al Meydan Rd – Al Manama St

Salik revises toll rates for race day

For Sunday, 16 November, Salik has updated toll charges to manage traffic during the triathlon:

  • Morning peak (6am–10am): Dh6 (up from Dh4)

  • Evening peak (4pm–8pm): Dh4, as usual

  • Low peak (10am–4pm & 8pm–1am): Dh4

The adjustment applies to Sunday only and is aimed at ensuring smoother traffic flow as athletes take on the 2km swim, 80km bike ride, and 18km city run.
